DNA Sequencer
These single-plate large format vertical gel electrophoresis units are
ideal for high resolution techniques, such as DNA sequencing, DNAs and
RNAs, foot printing and heteroduplex and oligonucleotide analysts,
which require longer separation distances.
They are available in two size (W x H): 20 x 50 cm and 33 x 41 cm.
Safety lid
- Although light weight and easily detachable, the
ltd. cannot be removed during electrophoresis without breaking the
electrical circuit
Ventilation grille
- It aids heat dispersal during electrophoresis and can be replaced by the optional thermostatic fan kit
High voltage power cables
- Cables are oriented asymmetrically for correct
polar orientation and equipped with 2 mm shrouded output connectors
which are universally compatible with modern high voltage power
supplies.
Carrying handles
- Safety handles, complemented by a new streamlined and light weight design, allow easy transportation around the tab
Spring-loaded plate clamps
- They act in conjunction with counterbalanced
silicone gaskets to maintain uniform gel thickness and even
distribution of pressure across the 4 mm thick float glass plates
Heat sink plate
- The aluminium back plate ensures uniform heat dispersion across the gel and to prevent sample distortions
Lower buffer chamber
- The lower buffer chamber clips directly onto the anode and can also be used to drain buffer from the upper chamber
Cooling kit
- The optional adjustable, thermostatically
controlled fan kit, powered independently to maintain get temperature,
allows for faster run times and enhanced resolution
Melinex combs and spacers
- They are precision machined for maximum loading accuracy and optimum band resolution
- Recommended power supplied: EV232, EV233
- Comprises: 2 notched glass plates +2 plain glass plates +2 spacers 0.35 mm + 1 comb 48 sample 0.35 mm.
